British Prime Minister Tony Blair said
Tuesday the International Community must confront extremist ideology to
succeed in fighting the type of terrorism responsible for the recent attacks
against London's transit system. Londoners have been tested by the July 7
bombings that killed 52 people in three subway trains and a bus, and the
failed July 21 attacks against similar targets, but their response had been
"magnificent," Mr. Blair said at his monthly news conference. "London is being
tested but standing firm," he said. "I do think the way that London has
responded has been magnificent, not because people haven't been worried.
Concerned? Of course they are, but because they have not allowed their worry
and concern to overcome their determination to carry on with their lives," he
said.
Wall Street Trader who
re-enlisted as a Marine after 911 cleared of criminal wrong doing.
A little background on Lt. Pantano is necessary.
He joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17. He is
a veteran of the 1991 Gulf War, as well as the peacekeeping operations in
Yugoslavia (1992). He left the Marines to attend New York University. After
graduation, he went to work as a trader for Goldman Sachs. By 2000, Pantano
was living in Manhattan and running his own company. In his spare time, he
helped deliver food to some of New York's many homeless shelters.
Daddy why are we at war.
he other day, my nine year old son wanted to know
why we were at War. My husband looked at our son and then looked at me. My
husband and I were in the Army during the Gulf War and we would be honored to
serve and defend our Country again today. I knew that my husband would give
him a good explanation.
Change of Command:
A Marine Captain Trains Iraqi Colonel To Take Over Fight
MOSUL,
Iraq -- On a cold night last month, U.S. Marines were training Iraqi soldiers
to man a vehicle checkpoint.
The road was dark and the Iraqi soldiers, who had
just arrived in town, were jumpy. As a car approached, the Iraqis
unleashed a torrent of warning shots. The bullets whizzed just past the heads
of the Marines.

Nearly half of more than 1,000 screened rescue and recovery workers
and volunteers who responded to the World Trade Center attacks have
new and persistent respiratory problems, and more than half have
persistent psychological symptoms, according to preliminary data
from a medical screening program funded by the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention and administered by the Mount Sinai Medical
Center, New York City.
Semper Fidelis" The
Marine Motto "Always Faithful"
Those
of us who are part of the camaraderie of brethren known as the
United States Marine corps are noted, not for standing behind the
flag, but rather standing in front of it to defend it and the
republic for which it stands. Since the inception of this republic
of the United States, the Marines have been a band of brothers
standing ready to accomplish the requests of their commanders and
leaders. This attitude is described by the Marine Corps motto,
“Semper Fidelis,” which means “always faithful.”
New Bin Laden Tape Is
Aired on Al Jazeera Osama bin Laden,
reading a statement to the American people in a new videotape aired

CANTOR FITZGERALD
VS. THE KINGDOM
AFTER 9/11,
the United States invaded two states: Afghanistan and Iraq.
Cantor Fitzgerald — the
World Trade Center financial firm that bore a full 22 percent of
9/11's deaths — enjoys no such sovereign powers. So Cantor has
spent three years preparing its own bloodless counterstrike.
Cantor wants to cut cleanly through the cocoon that, the firm
alleges, protected and promoted the slaughterers of its WTC
employees: The insular world of Saudi Arabian finance.
Who
paid for the 1998 East African embassy bombings?
In
a federal indictment issued recently out of the Eastern District
of Virginia, a grand jury charged Soliman Biheiri with three
counts of immigration violations. Although these are seemingly
innocuous charges, Biheiri is a central figure in a complex
terrorism investigation spanning several years and several
terrorist attacks.

Admiral Vern
Clark Speech When I look at
Operation Iraqi Freedom, I think about speed. I think
about agility. I think about my new favorite word,
persistence. I am so pleased with the way the Navy Marine
Corps team has responded to the challenge, and to the call.
I haven't spoken in public about this because it's not a public
thing except to say that on the day hostilities commenced I
wrote the Secretary of Defense a short memo and the subject of
the memo was: "Navy ready to commence operations."
Honor of Captivity
Pictures of American soldiers captured in Iraq knock the wind out of Joseph
Small III.
He was in their place 12 years ago. Mr. Small, then a Marine pilot, shipped
out for Kuwait to serve in the Gulf War at the end of 1990. It was the first
combat the 39-year-old father of three had seen since enlisting nearly 20
years earlier. On a Feb. 25 mission his plane was shot down. He was captured
and spent most of the next nine days being interrogated in a Baghdad prison.
Ann
Margaret
This is truly a remarkable woman:
Thought you would like to see a story about a Vietnam Veteran and Ann Margaret
which is written by the vet's wife.
It is unique and well worth reading:
Richard, (my husband), never really talked a lot about his time in Viet Nam
other than he had been shot by a sniper.
However, he had a rather grainy, 8 x 10 black & white photo he had taken
at a USO show of Ann Margaret with Bob Hope in the background, that was one
of his treasures.
Immigrants,
Not American must adapt SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT! Hip Hip Hooray!! Finally, someone has said
what I think has been on every American's mind! This is an editorial written
by an American citizen, published in a local newspaper.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual
or their culture, here in the U.S.A.
Our Soldiers The average age of the military man is 19
years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal
circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy.
Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but
old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much
for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his
father's; but he has never collected unemployment either......
Are
You ready In addition
to the natural and technological hazards described in this
publication, Americans face threats posed by hostile governments
or extremist groups. These threats to national security include
acts of terrorism and acts of war. The following is general
information about national security emergencies.
Terror Alert
The Bush administration raised the national terror alert
from yellow to orange, citing a U.S. intelligence warning of a "high risk"
of terrorist attack, a senior administration official said.
Definition of an American
You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually
a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer
of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.
So an Australian dentist wrote the following to let everyone know what an
American is, so they would know when they found one.
The
Hollywood Bunch Ok, let's just say for a moment you bunch of pampered, overpaid, unrealistic
children had your way and the U.S.A. didn't go into Iraq. Let's say that
you really get your way and we destroy all our nuclear weapons
and stick daisies in our gun barrels and sit around with some
white wine and cheese and pat ourselves on the back, so proud of
what we've done for world peace...............
French
vs USA Why do they hate us?
But who knew that we should have been boning up on the history
of France, not Islam? A funny thing happened on the way to the
war: Our old allies the French, rather than our new Muslim foes,
have become the caricatured foreigners of the war on terrorism.
The French are tarred in the New York Post, among others, as the
leaders of the "Axis of Weasel.
Veteran Scam A congressman has called on federal
officials to immediately investigate a woman who allegedly defrauded veterans
on Long Island and in Queens, charging them thousands of dollars to file claims
with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Howard Beach Local
Iraq Veteran Former U.S. Army Special Operations Capt. Mario Mancuso
is on a mission - and this time, it's not for Uncle Sam. The Howard Beach

operations detachment in Iraq, has been speaking about his experience to
everyone from public school students to prime-time journalists in hopes of
providing some perspective on the war........
