Subject: 50th Anniversary celebration of cessation of hostilities in Korea and the 85th Annual Queens County Convention Parade.
The 85th Annual Queens County Convention Parade will take place in Broad Channel on Friday evening June 06, 2003, at 8:00PM, starting at the All Veterans Memorial at the 17th road park.
Prior to the start of the parade at 7:00 PM, the Post is planning to honor the memory of the 5 veterans who never returned home from Korea alive, to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of cessation of hostilities in Korea.

A certificate from the “American Battle Monument Commission” will presented by our Department Commander Fang Wong.
The Republic of South Korea, “War Service Medal” will be presented by Congressman Weiner to members of each family.
The New York State “Conspicuous Service Medal” will be presented by Mr. Ben Weisbroth Assistant Director of New York State Division of Veteran Affairs.
A proclamation from the New York State Assembly will be presented by Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer.
A proclamation from the New York City Council will be presented by Councilman Joseph Addabbo.
Following the award ceremony, the annual convention parade will step off and proceed North on Crossbay Blvd to the American Legion Hall. After the parade there will be refreshments and music for your entertainment.
It is requested that all Korean War Veterans attend the ceremony so that they may br recognized on this 50th Anniversary Celebration.
